In need of some real healing? Then look no further than this special 2-day workshop
w/ the Master Healer, Queen Afua.
After nearly two decades, Queen Afua returns to Houston teaching self-healing through empowerment and restoration onFebruary 8th – 9th, 2014, at the historic Shrine Culture Center, 5309 Martin Luther King Blvd, 77021. Queen Afua is known for her popular books “Heal Thyself” and “A Sacred Woman’s Journey.” Regarded as a world-renowned healer and student of ancient healing, she has touched the lives of millions of men, women, and children.
The goal of the workshop is sacred wellness, addressing the major health and socioeconomic challenges of the modern African American family, and to provide a holistic, pragmatic approach to addressing and resolving these issues. The Saturday workshop is centered around family and male topics, while the Sunday workshop addresses women’s matters. In the first workshop, 21-Day Family Detox, Queen Afua confronts a myriad of dysfunctional and destructive lifestyle habits that are slowly degrading the quality of family life. She will introduce a 21 day road map for the entire family. Concluding the Saturday workshop is Queen Afua’s cutting edge play, “If Your Vagina could Speak.” While the title may sound mature, the subject matter is suitable for all ages. The performance will begin at 3:30 p.m., and family rates are available.
